TomTom GO Navigation & Maps App Reviews

No fine-tuning, no map preferences, incomplete/inaccurate traffic/closure info, cumbersome address entry. Lasted one day, and went back to old TomTom app. Utter rubbish.

I got this is a free upgrade from the tom-tom app but its not as good. Touching the map screen does nothing. Poor usability. Too difficult to cancel navigation. App starts up slow. Difficult to control the speaking volume. No obvious advantages over other navigation apps. Of the four navigation apps I have on my iPhone this is the one Im least likely to use.

This is a ridiculous excuse for a GPS system app! It doesnt speak to you when you have it set to do it, it doesnt have good mapping and its a confusing mess. Im pretty good at electronics and this one stinks! And now my regular TomTom is no longer receiving a GPS signal now that I downloaded this but it can know where I am to give me directions if I pick route options-instructions! RIDICULOUS!!!!!

Made the mistake of upgrading to the new app while in Chicago this week. None of the intuitive features were in the new one, nor did any of my existing locations carry over. I see I still have the existing app, but traffic is disabled ever since I downloaded the new app? The only improvement is the new search tool, and maybe the gas station thing on the right hand side when Im returning the rental car, beyond that, I prefer the old app that I have loved for years.

I owned many TomTom GPSS in the past until I switched to Garmin. I made the mistake of looking back at a newer TomTom last year and returned it within days was glitchy and unreliable.... I then tried WAZE and have been in love since. I seen an ad for this app I figured Id give it a try and of course its 1/2 done yet TomTom releases it.... (Missing Waypoints... Contact lists, etc) Unreal or is it from this company?
