This app is amazingly bad and a waste of memory. Do not download. I dont see how someone who wrote the old tomtom for iPhone and iPad could put together something so clunky, hard to use, and worthless. For instance you cannot see IPOs on the map. There is no option for alternate routes. You cannot "travel via" if you want to change your route. You cannot set up alternate routes or have them suggested. Finally, and this is one of the reasons why I like the old tomtom, you cannot have secondary destinations along route. How does tomtom think this app is an improvement. Oh and one final thing it isnt set up for an iPad. What a surprise. I remember when tomtom for iPhone first came out. I bought because I needed an off-line map but it was pretty bad. You would think they would have learned from their mistakes and improved on the first app. Note to TomTom: get your act together before you put out a poorly thought out, featureless app like this.

Ive used the full Tom Tom app for years, and like it. I can suggest a few improvements, but most problems stem from poor map data from cities. For example, forget cycling and walking routes; they are almost always the same as if you are in a car. This new GO app is unfathomable, simplistic and not worth the effort to switch to.

After years of happy use of the previous app, and paid for traffic, I have spent the last month with the new app as a frequent traveler. Have all but given up on the new app and Im ready to find something better. Please explain Tomtom, your old app was great, the new is horrible.

Compared to the previous TomTom apps, this new version is very bad, much worse. User interface looks bad, there is less functionality, some of them critical (such as find alternative routes), takes much more storage space (hell for 16GB iPhone users). Only advantage is the included traffic info. Oh, and the 3D buildings look terrible!!! They are so small you have to squint (and distract yourself from driving) to recognize anything.

A primary use of TomTom for me has been the Winding Roads routing option for days out on the motorcycle. This new app meant to replace the old is currently missing this feature.

Had the old tomtom app and loved it. Hate using Go! Do not like the interface at all. Find it difficult to use and does not provide the info on the screen that the old app used. This new version even makes the GPS in my car seem good and I thought that one was really bad until I got this app!

I paid $100 for their U.S.&Canada Garbage app when it first came in 2009. One hundred dollars!

Seems like for a navigation app there should be a quick and simple "Navigate To" button or "Take Me There". But no, not in this one—after 15 minutes or so, I figured out that if you press "Search" (which is very confusing itself and can hardly find anything) after a couple more hidden taps on various nondescript icons and such it seems like it might take me somewhere.

What!!!! No way to add a stop or travel via.... It wont even allow us to avoid something on the current route. Since this app hijacked my traffic subscription, the older better app is now handicap! Jerks!! What idiot made us walk the plank on this??? The first release didnt even allow us to access contacts from the app. Someone should lose their job over this or they should fire the whole team. I HATE TOM-TOM NO-GO!

Really bad. This is not an update it is a downdate! No windings, no proper route planning and awful UI. What I do not get is that you guys had it all before: the best app to motorbike touring and this version is just the worse I ever seen. Worse, you stopped traffic updates on the previous version which is really upsetting . Correct it, now!

This app used to be really great. Then they "fixed" it. Now I use either Google maps or Waze. Now the search feature finds nothing. And unless u have a destination in the app, youre so zoomed out that u have no idea what road youre on. This app is absolute garbage now. Too bad.

Subscription based service which is no better than any of the free GPS apps out there. Why pay for this when the old Tom Tom app which does the same thing but doesnt continually charge money? Or just use one of the many better free apps???

I am in Europe and often times cannot find an address of a destination, but no issues with the old app. POI search is horrible. What if I want to look for any restaurants around me? Of course I can type the word "restaurant" and it will find some locations. But like I said, i am in Germany and many restaurants go by other names, such as "guesthaus." Good thing I didnt transfer my license and fist tried this new app.

This is still very poor compared to the original app. Are we beta testing for you!!?? Arrow seems to always lag behind actual location, especially when auto zoomed. Exist signs are either non existant or confusing - bring back the exit signs from the previous version. Data, like street names at bottom of screen are difficult to read. Let me choose a car instead of an arrow. I could go on with different problems and issues ... do your self a favour .. find an alternative.

I like that there are so many negative reviews, it means that you did a great job and the competitors are going nuts. Its good that you can try it for free. Youll get the feel of the app. Please keep it up!!!

So I dislike this. Not intuitive, cant access contacts, dislike female voices, dont like to "interact" so really dont are about cameras, etc. find it unsafe. I am not sure I will use it for long. Will try it locally, but not pleased that I "upgraded" from my Tom Tom app which I have had for at least 5 years. It feels like 10,000 steps backwards.
